CIM Signs & Graphics doubles in size with £1 million expansion and equipment upgrade
A print firm is doubling its operation after investing over £1 million in a new expansion to its workspace and equipment. CIM Signs & Graphics, based at Rackheath Industrial Estate, has announced a significant reinvestment in the past 18 months.
This investment has been directed towards doubling the size of its premises and installing state-of-the-art equipment, solidifying its commitment to delivering top-notch print quality and sustainable solutions to businesses across the East of England.
With its premises now twice the size, CIM Signs & Graphics, with over 24 years of industry experience, is planning to further develop its range of sustainable print solutions.
In February, the company added the cutting-edge Kongsberg C64 Edge to its technological arsenal, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to innovation and efficiency. This state-of-the-art machine boasts a 3.2m wide elite cutting and routing conveyorised table, ensuring precision cutting and enhancing overall operational efficiency.
The machine is used for a wide range of printing projects including creative 3D corrugated cardboard designs, packaging, displays, signage, labels and decals. The firm is pairing the Kongsberg C64 Edge with their swissQprint Nyala 4.
This partnership leverages the exceptional print quality of the Nyala 4, a wide-format printer known for its sustainability credentials, including energy efficiency and eco-friendly ink usage.
Managing Director of CIM Signs & Graphics, Mark Baker, said: "We’ve been planning this expansion for quite some time now and we’re thrilled to have officially moved in. The new space has allowed us to reconfigure the whole building providing us with spaces for key areas such as van wrapping and wide format printing.”
Baker added “Our investment in the Kongsberg C64 Edge is not merely about acquiring cutting-edge technology; it's a commitment to enhancing our service. The speed and precision offered by the C64 Edge contribute to reduced lead times, ensuring a seamless experience for our clients.”
